Prevention is the key to your pet’s health and quality of life. Annual wellness examinations are the cornerstone of your pet’s preventive health care plan. Exams help us establish a baseline level of your pet’s health. We perform a “nose to tail” evaluation of your pet. During each exam, we conduct the following procedures:
- Listen to the heart and lungs
- Test your pet’s hearing and vision
- Palpate the abdomen
- Check muscles and joints for signs of arthritis
- Examine the skin for signs of growths, tumors and skin conditions
During your pet’s exam, we will ask questions about your pet’s diet, lifestyle and overall health. All of this information is used to develop a health care plan for your pet and spot diseases and conditions before they become more difficult to treat.
